The curve that makes the impression
Prima Vista is a furniture family of dining chair, bar stool and dining table, designed by Marit Stigsdotter and Staffan Lind and made in solid oak and birch at Stolab’s factory in Smålandsstenar, Sweden. The name is Italian for “at first sight”, and that is where the chair makes its impression: in the back legs that curve gently where they meet the backrest, and in the softly rounded back. The chair and table were introduced in 2019, and the bar stool followed in 2021.

For dinners that run late
Marit Stigsdotter and Staffan Lind have designed several pieces for Stolab. In Prima Vista, the backrest is moulded to give it its soft curve, while the frame is solid wood. The seat is upholstered in fabric or leather. The result is a chair that is as comfortable over the third cup of coffee as it was over the starter.

Dining table with extension leaf
A table with a secret in its end
The Prima Vista dining table comes in 120 and 180 cm and is always delivered with an extension leaf in solid wood that adds 50 cm. That makes room for a couple of extra chairs when more people arrive. The leaf is stored in the table itself: a pull-out section in the end holds both the leaf and a cork board. The cork board serves as a surface for serving dishes and can take a hot pot. It also lifts out and can be used on its own, so the Sunday stew never has to sit on a folded tea towel.

Oak or birch, fabric or leather
Choose your wood, surface treatment and upholstery
The whole family is available in solid oak and birch, finished with oil or lacquer. Oak has a distinct, pronounced grain. Birch is lighter, and its structure varies, so no two pieces are quite alike. The chair has a seat in leather or fabric, with fabric in black/brown and beige/white. The bar stool comes in two seat heights, 65 and 78 cm. Everything is made in Smålandsstenar, where Stolab has made furniture since 1907. The family carries the Möbelfakta label and a 10-year guarantee.
