Care instructions

Take care of your furniture

Lacquered furniture achieves a dense and glossy surface through the application of multiple layers of lacquer. The lacquer can be transparent or colored, depending on the desired aesthetic. Lacquered surfaces protect the furniture from water, stains, heat, and some mechanical wear. This allows the furniture to last longer and maintain its appearance over time.

Lacquered furniture typically requires minimal maintenance, but they are not entirely maintenance-free. Just like with other types of furniture, lacquered furniture demands some care and maintenance to keep them in good condition.

A wide range of surface treatments

Birch

Birch is a light-coloured wood whose grain can vary from completely smooth to highly figured. It is one of the most common wood species in Sweden and is used in almost all of our furniture.

Birch is medium-hard and tough, offering a wide range of possibilities when it comes to surface treatments. Its smooth, even surface makes it particularly well suited to lacquering and painting. More than 75% of the birch we use comes from Sweden and has grown for 70–80 years before becoming timber for our furniture.
