About our production
Production rooted in craftsmanship
Since 1907, Stolab has been crafting stick chairs that have become an integral part of our heritage. Comfort, stability, and timeless design have shaped our furniture for generations and continue to form the foundation of everything we do. With the same care and respect for the material, we now create furniture in solid wood, where skilled craftsmanship and exceptional quality remain at the heart of every piece.

Tradition and innovation under one roof
Our production takes place in Smålandsstenar, at the heart of Sweden’s furniture-making tradition. By keeping manufacturing close to us, we maintain control over the entire process – from raw material to finished piece. We inspect and quality-assure every delivery of timber, monitor each stage of production, and carry out most manufacturing in-house. Certain processes are entrusted to carefully selected specialists with unique expertise in their respective fields, but we always remain responsible for the finished result.
In our factory, modern technology and traditional craftsmanship work side by side. Automated processes help us achieve high precision and consistent quality, while human experience, skill, and attention to detail remain essential to every piece we make. The result is an industrial production process that meets the highest standards of craftsmanship – where quality, sustainability, and a positive working environment go hand in hand.
By combining innovation with generations of knowledge, we create furniture designed to be used, appreciated, and passed on for years to come.
