Anna von Schewen

Since 1997, she runs the design studio Anna von Schewen Design and Architecture in Stockholm. The assignments include architecture, interior design and exhibition architecture as well as furniture and product design. Most famous interiors are the permanent exhibition at ArkDes and the National Librarian's study at the Royal Library in Stockholm. Anna von Schewen also works as a furniture designer in the international market.

 

Anna von Schewen's design has been awarded a number of awards, such as the Excellent Swedish Forms Special Prize, the Excellent Swedish Forms Design Prize and was nominated for the EDIDA Design Award by Swedish Elle Decoration. In 2003, she was awarded the Bruno Mathsson Prize. In 2009 she received the Furniture of the Year award from the magazine Sköna Hem and in 2014 she was named Designer of the Year by the magazine Residence. Her work on architecture has been nominated for the Wood Prize and is included in The Ultimate House Book by Terence Conran. Anna von Schewen is represented at several museums such as the Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art in Amsterdam, the National Museum in Oslo, the Röhsska Museum in Gothenburg and the National Museum in Stockholm.
