 Behind each piece of furniture from Stolab lies many hours of both thought and work. And we make sure we are responsible for what we do in both word and deed.
SOLID BIRCH
We manufacture all our furniture from solid birch, apart from a few parts where for functional reasons we replace the solid wood with other alternatives. We also use solid birch in all drawer sides, drawer fronts and shelves so we are able to offer the unique durability and feeling that only solid wood can give.
PROFESSIONAL STAFF
Solid wood and precise detail work require both craftsmanship and sensitivity. At Stolab we have very skilled and experienced staff that are masters of the art of combining efficient and modern production with pure craftsmanship.
FORM AND FUNCTION IN UNION
Designing attractive furniture is one thing. To then weave in function and durability and make it characteristic for Stolab involves a complicated challenges for our designers. We have therefore opted to cooperate with a small number of designers that know our company and the values which each product must contain and transmit.
CAREFUL DETAIL WORK
The difference between one piece of furniture and another becomes really clear in the details. With careful detail work we can weave in further functions, increase durability or quite simply make furniture even more appealing. Take the Lilla Åland armchair as an example. At first look it is an “ordinary” stick-back chair, but on closer examination it is a chair consisting of 27 parts and no less than 87 stage of work.
READY-ASSEMBLED FURNITURE
At Stolab, we ready-assemble or pre-assemble all our furniture. We do that to be able to retain control of the final design of the product. Naturally, this is also a service we know our customers value.
