Matilda Lindblom is the latest designer to work with the Stolab team.
She trained as a mechanical engineer specialising in construction and design. Most recently, she studied design and wood techniques at the Carl Malmsten Centre in Stockholm, which included a period of practical training in Hong Kong with Michael Young.
She also studied product design and manufacturing methods in Perth, Australia.
Matilda now works as a freelancer and has designed products for several manufacturers including Nola, Njudex, Heirloom, Svenssons and Erikshjälpen.
This promising young designer has an evident passion for creativity and design, especially in wooden furniture but also for wood combined with other materials. For Stolab, Matilda designed the Excelsa dining set in ash – inspired by Zen ideas about light, space and balance." |
